Ellen Nathan Singer grew up in Brooklyn and studied theater at Columbia University and various New York acting schools.  She also studied at the Art Students League of New York, and later taught there.  Her favorite mediums include pastels, etchings, and woodcuts, and she draws inspiration from her travels in this country and abroad, especially England.  Singer has exhibited her work with Audubon Artists and won first prize in graphics at the Art Students League exhibition in 2004.  Recently she participated in a three-person print show at the Belskie Museum in Closter, and a four-person exhibition at the Old Print Shop. Her work is in the collections of the Newark Public Library and the Library of Congress. She is the vice president of the Society of American Graphic Artists.  ellennathansinger.com
