Kristi Pfister received the BFA from Barnard College, Columbia University and the Master of Art and Design Education at Pratt Institute, and studied drawing and painting at the Art Students League. With funding from the Percent for Arts Program, MTA Arts for Transit, the City Department of Parks and Recreation, the Staten Island Zoo, and the Staten Island Children's Museum, among others, Pfister has designed and fabricated interior and exterior wall murals and mosaics for Brooklyn and Staten Island. She has received a number of grants and awards to support her studio work, and she exhibits throughout the region, most recently in a solo show at the Wagner College Gallery. Pfister teaches art at Staten Island Academy and is an adjunct instructor in the art department of Wagner College.
