Born in England, Linda Adato studied at Hornsey College of Art and, after immigrating to this country, at UCLA where she received the Master’s degree in Art Education.  Adato has exhibited her prints throughout the United States and abroad, and among her awards are those from the National Academy of Design, Boston Printmakers, Audubon Artists, and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking.  Her work is in the collections of, among other institutions, the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts of the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, the British Museum, the DeCordova Museum, the Duxbury Art Complex Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Mississippi Museum of Art, and the New York Public Library.
