Su-Li Hung is a painter, printmaker, and poet. Born in 1947 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, she studied at National Taiwan University, the Art Students League, and the National Academy of Design. She is a member of the SAGA and serves as a member of its Council. Hung is the author of twenty-three books of essays and poetry published in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and she has exhibited her art extensively in the United States and China. She has received several awards including the Gold Medal of Honor in Graphics from Audubon Artists; Certificates of Merit and Achievement from the Print Club of Albany; the United Daily News Literature Prize, Taiwan; the Best Essay of the Year in the China Times literature competition; and awards from the Silvermine Guild Print and Boston Printmakers. su-lihung.com
