Anton Seder (1850-1916) was an Art Nouveau designer, an art professor, and the director of the Kunstgewerbeschule, an arts and crafts school in Strasbourg, France. He was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany before becoming a teacher of architecture at the Technikum vocational school in Winterthur, Switzerland in 1878. In 1889, Seder was appointed director of the new arts school in Strasbourg where he worked for decades. Between 1882 and 1903 he published ten books on drawing and painting.
