Diane Matyas is a New York City artist, instructor, author/illustrator, and museum professional. She received her BFA and MFA from Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning and she graduated from Columbia’s Graduate School of Business Institute for Non-profit Management Program. She is opening her own printmaking and art studio space this fall in Livingston, Staten Island where she will offer unique classes and workshops. She is a teaching artist for the Guggenheim Museum’s Teaching Through Art program. Matyas serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Public Art Project. Her work as a NYC museum leader has included roles as Vice President of Exhibitions and Programs at the Staten Island Museum, Program Director at the Noble Maritime Collection, and Program Manager/Artist-in-Residence at the Staten Island Children’s Museum.
