Patricia Langer attended the School of Visual Arts where she earned a degree in Illustration.  She then pursued a career working to design and create illustrations for magazines and corporate reports.  She continued her education in art attending numerous classes at the Art Students League exploring a variety of media including drawing and watercolor.  Langer is currently working at fine art printmaking, finding in it a new, exciting, and expressive venue.  Initially, her work focused primarily on the figure, but now she has found inspiration in still life and cityscape images.  Her current work has included not only still life subjects as set in her studio, but also views from her apartment windows in Greenwich Village, creating expressive images in drawings, etchings, lithographs, and colored pencils.  Her work is characterized by a rich play of tonal values and a sure but energetic draftsmanship.
