On Tuesday, September 11, I was working as a photojournalist for the Staten Island Advance. From that day on I covered the attacks, countless funerals and the stories of families looking for their lost loved ones.
In the months following, having witnessed so much grief, I needed to see something beautiful. When the tribute in light was first lit in March of 2002 I decided to document it from various points around the metropolitan area.
