A collaborative project between the Noble Maritime Collection and PS 373R
Mixed media mural on plaster ~ Spring, 2018
Lindsey Milazzo, artist with PS 373R students
City Pop is a mural of New York Harbor from the perspective of the Atlantic Salt Company at 561 Richmond Terrace. The students used pencils and crayons to color Robbins Reef Lighthouse, the container ships, tugboats, and construction vehicles at the facility on a backdrop Ms. Milazzo created. Portraits of the students are interspersed throughout the mural, depicting them as ship and waterfront workers.
Special thanks to:
Principal Paulette Benevento and Assistant Principal Antonio Vestano
