This free event is a companion to our This is a Print exhibition.

Barnett Shepherd, the historian and author whose collection makes up a majority of the prints on view in the exhibition, will talk about his lifelong experiences as a collector. He will offer guidance and best practices so that you can begin or grow your own fine art collection.

William Behnken, a National Academician and teacher at the Art Students League of New York, will talk about the unique aspects of each printmaking technique represented in the exhibition. Understanding the nuances that differentiate each type of print will broaden your appreciation of fine art prints.

This exhibition is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council, and the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
