Tomomi Ono was born in Kyoto, Japan, where she spent her formative years. She also lived and worked in Spain and the United States where she developed her original style in the art of lithography, which is characterized by delicate modeling and coloring using original motifs. At Saga Art College she studied traditional Japanese painting, and after moving to New York in 1994 she studied lithography at the Art Students League of New York. Ono is an active member of the Society of American Graphic Artists, and currently is Printmaking Instructor and Master Primer of Lithography at the Art Students League of New York.
